Update On Faces from the Past & Present - **UPDATED 7/29/08**It is obvious The Nets are going through a rather large facelift, so I thought it would be fun to look back at Nets over the last 2 seasons. The below will cover anybody who wore a Nets' jersey from any point between the first regular season game of the 2006-07 NBA season and the current date (7/29/08)

The VC EffectThe Nets are currently on a 6 game losing streak. Vince Carter got hurt during game one of this losing streak, and has not played in the last 5 games. How does this all fit together?
Since the Nets traded for Vince Carter, they have not won a game that he didn't play in.
As evident by the recent play, Jason Kidd can get a triple double and the team still won't win, Sean Williams can step up and go 22 and 8, RJ can shoot lights out, Antoine Wright can play the best ball of his career...AND THE NETS STILL WON'T WIN!
So what does it all mean? Vince Carter may return to the Nets' line-up tonight in Portland, if he doesn't...we all know what to expect.
The Nets averaged 89.5 points in the first 5 games of the season. In the last 6 they have averaged 80.6 points. Even though Vince was averaging 17 points (tainted because he got hurt during a game, so that game pulled his stats down), the message is clear and the trend is obvious.
